Early Forays in Individualized Genomic Medicine

December 16, 2021 - 4:00 pm

Timothy Yu, MD, PhD, Associate Professor in Pediatrics, Harvard Medical School; Attending Physician, Division of Genetics and Genomics, Boston Children’s Hospital

Dr. Yu is passionate about finding ways to bring genomic tools to the bedside to help care for patients with genetic disorders. He leads projects that range from the deployment of genome sequencing in the neonatal intensive care unit to the design and delivery of genome-guided therapeutics for sick children. Dr. Yu’s laboratory also conducts genome-wide and world-wide analyses of genetic determinants of autism to reveal its underlying genomic architecture, and neurobiological underpinnings.

This event is hosted as part of the monthly seminar series featuring leaders in precision medicine from across the nation. Presented by the Precision Medicine Resource of the Irving Institute for Clinical and Translational Research and Center for Research on ELSI of PNB Genetics.

Thursday December 16, 4:00-5:00 pm ET
