Genomics and Race-Based Medical Guidelines: How Far Have We Come?

Many laws and policies encourage the use of racial categories to harmonize genomic data, but doctors and scientists disagree with this approach.  This talk will describe the debate on the role of race in medicine and genomics research and current opportunities for courts, lawmakers, and medical societies to move beyond the use of race when describing population differences.
